What a great day for a wedding. The rain left at the perfect time and took away all the heat and humidity to make for a perfect day. The wedding and reception took place on the site of St. James Church and the Bride’s family’s property in Delhi, NY right in the heart of the Catskill Mountains. What a beautiful location. Everyone was absolutely fabulous especially both families.

I think Matt and Erica picked the most epic day of the year to have their wedding. The wedding rocked, even into the night hours. I think this was maybe the second or third time in the whole year that you were able to wear a short sleeve shirt outside in the evening. Talking about what rocked. The band was Ridiculous !! I mean in a good way. ‘Savoir Faire’ is the bands name and I highly recommend these guys only if you want a high octane evening. This wedding was full of energy leading with the amazing couple Erica and Matt ! Here are some of my favorites::

Coastanoa is a lodge is right in the middle between Santa Cruz and Half Moon Bay right on the coast on the Pacific Coast Highway, right at Pigeon Point Lighthouse. Chris and Oksana’s wedding was intimate and with the flavorings of a Russian and New Jersey vibe. I decided for this post to create their images in more of an antique Sepia Tone. Enjoy !!

As a San Francisco wedding photographer, I have it soooooo lucky to be able to shoot in San Francisco. On Sunday, Lisa and Hichem got married in San Francisco with a beautiful ceremony at the Shakespeare Garden in Golden Gate Park and the reception was held at one of Hichem’s close friend’s restaurant
Garcon in the the Mission (Food was absolutely amazing). Next time the Fog needs to behave better. Here are some of my favs…..

On Saturday marked two occasions, One it was my birthday (not going to say how old I am) and two I shot my first wedding in the rain (amazing with all the weddings I’ve shot this was my first) ! One would think disaster but not on this day ! I had my birthday luck and an incredible couple to make it a beautiful and absolutely memorable day ! Jenny and Ryan were so energetic and enthusiastic to shoot in the rain that the ceremony was delayed because of the fun we were having. Also a special thanks to Christen my assistant for the day, who stepped it up and allowed me to get some great images.
The ceremony and reception took place at the beautiful Cliff House in San Francisco. I met the couple at the Majestic Hotel where we shot on Gold Street by Bix Restaurant and Fort Point, under the Golden Gate Bridge. For the rain, you made a perfect compliment to a wonderful day !

This past Saturday I had the honor of photographing the wedding day for Ha-Mill and Adam. The both got ready at the Shattuck Hotel in Berkeley, where Adam got to see his bride for the first time. Later we all met at Piedmont Park on a absolutely awesome day for pictures before getting married in the Community Hall.

What a great San Francisco wedding. Katherine and Dan were absolutely awesome. The wedding was beautiful and intimate. The reception at the Presidio Golf Clubhouse was a blast. These two made taking pictures easy !! Not to forget how their friends and family were so awesome.
I am so honored still that they invited me to be their wedding photographer and capture all the amazing moments of the day !!
You’ll see the shots are all in black and white. I realized to really capture the true essence of the day the images had to be in black and white.

Everytime I shoot a wedding I’m amazed at how unique each wedding is to photograph. Brian and Patti’s wedding had an incredible location, you really can’t go wrong with the wine country, and their family and friends were amazing! (bias here, since most of their friends are mine as well). Patti and Brian savored each moment and even though we were pressed with what little time we had for the couple shots, they were so accommodating. How many more times were they going to here…..OK….just one more shot ! Brian has one heck of an amazing brother who made out to be an amazing DJ! and Patti rather than being stressed she enjoyed every moment…made the photography easy! The wine was amazing, The post party at Murphy’s was great (I love their shirts “Welcome to wine country…have a Guiness:) and even though my family came out a little worse for wear (Cathi black eye, and Ryan food poisoning) we had an amazing time !

It was such a great day to photograph Patti and Brian. For weeks we’ve been rescheduling and finally on the last day possible rain or shine we had to shoot and what a beautiful day it turned out to be !
Brian suggested China Ocean Beach in San Francisco because both were pretty special for them and the views were amazing. I’ve never shot at China Beach and what a gem of a place it turned out. Let me say we couldn’t of picked a better day. Typically the wind picks up in the afternoon and even if the lighting is looking great the winds can cause a havoc but today the sun turned up and the winds disappeared…Perfect ! Looking forward to the wedding this weekend !!

Looks like in the next week or two I’ll be relaunching my website to include some of my favorite images plus my favorite weddings over the past few years. Currently I’m filtering through thousands of images from my past weddings I shot. Going through these images brings back some amazing memories. This so called ‘cleansing’ reminds me how much I enjoy being a a wedding photographer.

I have ventured off my weddings a bit with this image, I love shooting around San Francisco. When I captured this image I instantly knew that it would be a perfect fit for a submission to Outside Magazine. I love the magazine and read it on a regular basis so I was thrilled when they let me know they were going to use it in there 2 page spread for the Exposure section.

It has been wayyyyyyy to long since my last post, so I’ll start off by getting back into blogging with my photography shoot in Hawaii from a couple weeks ago. Josh and Joanna were absolutely amazing and great hosts. We had such a great day with some awesome weather. How can you go wrong it was Hawaii, unlike the foggy windy conditions I have to contend with my San Francisco Weddings. I’m looking forward to finalizing the edits (the one thing I hate the most is post production) but fun to revisit the day and self critique.
